Super Bowl and NFL Awards Predictions

It's time. It's that time. The first NFL Sunday is here. You're excited now, but at 2 pm today you will be questioning why you every agreed to play fantasy football and why you choose to live and die by your miserable franchise....it's awesome.

Before kickoff gets here at 1, I need to hold myself accountable and post my NFL predictions. Key Reminder: I hold the right to come back and change these predictions once I realize they're wrong, and also only highlight the picks I got right.

Let's get into it

Awards

Offensive Rookie of the Year: Ashton Jeanty

The Offensive Rookie of the Year award is typically a QB award, but not this year. First of all, this wasn't exactly a hyped-up QB draft class, and I don't see any of these guys being difference makers day 1. Second: Ashton Jeanty is a stud. He'll get all of the carries from Day 1 and put together an incredible season on his away to the ROY award.

Defensive Rookie of the Year: Abdul Carter

Abdul Carter hasn't even played a regular season snap yet and he's already changed my life. The guy is a beast, and all reports have been he will be a difference maker from the jump. He is one of the guys I'm most excited to watch this season.

Offensive Player of the Year: CeeDee Lamb

It must be noted; this is a little skewed because I'm writing this after the Eagles-Cowboys opener. But even though CeeDee had a couple of bad drops it was very obvious that the Cowboys will go as far as Dak and CeeDee can take them. The Cowboys are very similar to last years Bengals, and just like Jamarr, I think CeeDee will benefit from this.

Editor's Note: I may have used commas up above in some painfully wrong and absurd ways

Defensive Player of the Year: Micah Parsons

This pick is purely for the storyline. I do think Parsons will be a man on a mission and will enjoy being out of Dallas and the spotlight that comes with it.

Most Valuable Player (MVP): Joe Burrow

You could argue that Burrow deserved this award last year. Except his team didn't make the playoffs, and that is an unsaid requirement. I think Burrow repeats last season though. This is the first offseason in his career that he has been healthy. The defense won't be much better, and the Bengals will go as far as Burrow takes them. I think there will be a little fatigue with Josh Allen and Lamar and that the voters will be excited to give somebody else the award.

Conference and Super Bowl Predictions

NFC Champion: Rams over Packers

If Matthew Stafford gets hurt, I will quietly come back in here and change this pick. I'm a Sean McVay believer, and I think he once again has an elite offense to play with. It feels now or never for the Rams because eventually they will need to find the successor of Stafford. I think they make their return to the Super Bowl this year.

AFC Champion: Bills over Chiefs

The Bills finally get over the Chiefs hurdle. It has to happen at some point; Josh Allen is too good to not make the Super Bowl. Choosing against the Chiefs is a dangerous game, but I think the Bills will have the homefield advantage and finally get over the hump.

Super Bowl winner: Buffalo Bills

It's the year of Josh Allen. Marrying Hailee Steinfeld and winning the Super Bowl is a dream year, and I think it happens. The city of Buffalo deserves this, Josh Allen deserves this, and I think it finally happens.

Now, it's time to play the games.
